Catalyst Wedding Company highlights weddings by and for game-changers. We seek to amplify and empower voices and viewpoints that are usually missing from the Wedding Industrial Complex. We're a community of badass wedding professionals who love all things funky, fresh, diverse, unique, and personality-driven; we convene twice yearly for (un)convention, a collaborative workshop, styled shoot, and dinner party. We're also the publishers of Catalyst Wedding Mag, a resource for couples looking for inspiration and affirmation that doing things differently in wedding-world is not only ok, it's wonderful!

Nathan and I met in Pensacola, Florida in April 2010. I had recently got out of an interesting relationship and was not looking to start another one. I even told God that I did not want to get married. All of that changed when I met this hilarious, handsome man who asked our friend for my number right in front of me. After that night we dated for two months, and he told me one night that he was not dating me just to date me. I responded, "So you want to marry me?" With a surprised look he said, "Well yeah!" A few months later he play-proposed to me with a ring pop while a friend photographed the whole session. What I didn't know was that he had the real ring back at his house. We were married December 4, 2010. We had an outdoor wedding at High Grove Farm in Valdosta, Georgia with our closest friends and family. It was a night to remember for sure.

It's incredible to say that we have been married for six years now. I have people ask me what is the secret to our marriage. My response is always, "I don't think anyone else could put up with my crazy like he does." But in all seriousness, every day we both make a choice to work through the hard times and celebrate the good times. We are very open with our struggles and create a safe place for vulnerability. We both know that each of us has something to offer in the relationship. I honestly cannot think of anyone else I would want to spend the rest of my life with.
