Real Couples // A Pacific Northwest Beach Wedding: Geoff + Ederlyn
/We first met in high school in Virginia, carpooling to rowing practice. I remember being a bit of a bully to Geoff, who was a couple of years behind me in school, and who was accordingly a bit of a brat!
We became friends again through the power of Facebook (breaking and making relationships since 2004!) and managed a reunion in Las Vegas. Geoff says it was love at first sight. I am a much more emotionally oblivious person, so Geoff took another trip to Seattle where I inadvertently set up the perfect first date. It took a subsequent trip together to Vancouver for me to catch on.
We've been "two beautiful goofballs" ever since, to steal a friend's words. We had to spend a few years in an intensely long distance relationship, shuttling between Seattle, DC, and varying airports in the world. But Geoff managed to make the move to Seattle, and now when we fly, we fly together.
