We're a community of badass wedding professionals who love all things funky, fresh, diverse, unique, and personality-driven; we convene twice yearly for (un)convention, a collaborative workshop, styled shoot, and dinner party. We're also the publishers of Catalyst Wedding Mag, a resource for couples looking for inspiration and affirmation that doing things differently in wedding-world is not only ok, it's wonderful!

"I've never believed in love in first sight until I saw her. You know that butterfly-in-your-stomach, hair-standing-on-the-back-of-your-neck feel? We met in high school while she played basketball, and I was a cheerleader. I couldn't keep my eyes off her during basketball games. It went on for years, and I just couldn't find the words to tell her how I felt until years later. I woke up one day and said I'm going to finally let her know how I feel. After that day, we started to text and go on dates. Feelings became stronger, and we were inseparable. On August 27, 2014, I married my best friend. We are glued at the hip and do every possible thing together. Just like every marriage, couples go through hardships, but we eventually figured out that all we need is each other."

Meet Lauren McKeown Photography: My name is Lauren, and I am a photographer in central Virginia whose passion is to capture emotions and the connections between people. I feel like my ultimate goal is to change people's lives by creating imagery that speaks to their soul. I am completely self-taught, by finding any piece of info I could on the internet. I honestly feel that by finding photography, I found myself. The people I have been able to connect with have changed my life and my view on the world. I now see that there is beauty in everything; you just have to look in the right places, and look deep into a persons heart.
