Real Couples // The Violinist and the Violin Maker: Monica + Chris
/Monica and Chris, a Broadway violinist and a violin maker, sat up in bed one evening and realized that the big NYC loft wedding they’d planned wasn’t at all how they wanted to be married.
Going back to the drawing board they stumbled upon the perfect little garden on the Lower East Side and decided they’d have a wonderful dinner with 30 people nearby at Edi & the Wolf.
Knowing that the bride and groom wanted their wedding to feel spontaneous, intimate, and personal, I let the event unfold absolutely naturally, only stopping for an arranged portrait if the moment felt right.
All the decor, including the florals, were created by the wedding couple.

When two people and their families are united, these memories are best photographed naturally and honestly, as they happen. My work is clean, vibrant, contemporary and true to life. By keeping the focus on relationships and personalities, my work remains current and personal. To me, the most important takeaway is that you can look back at your photos and remember how you and your loved ones were actually feeling.
