One of the barriers for a lot of my readers is finding inclusive and equality-minded wedding professionals. The wedding industry is not regulated so anyone can carve out a business, but not every business is of quality and not every business is inclusive. Nu Bride The Wedding Show will only feature suppliers who already demonstrate diversity or are actively working to improve this.

Keeping it short, including special readings, music, and the inclusion of mothers of the grooms to light the unity candle and as witnesses made the ceremony that extra bit special.
Donal and Jon decided not to include their own written vows but instead used a slightly more traditional script, not only because otherwise they would have been too emotional to speak, but because they felt the traditional script suited their feelings towards marriage and each other.

Dealing in vintage, we find so many quirks in the wedding industry; hessian, jam jars, and lace aren't actually 'vintage' unless they're from before the 1980s, and a "vintage wedding dress" doesn't have to be a 50s styled short tea dress. As fashion itself borrows from styles gone by, we aim to showcase the diversity of vintage bridalwear, and that's exactly what we did with this ambitious shoot.
We shot in the Hive, a building being regenerated by live-in guardians who are turning it into a community space. In fact, we were actually interviewed by the BBC in the run up to this shoot for our role in supporting the use of derelict buildings. Eco wedding dresses and eco values galore over here! As Yvon Chouinard identified, wearing secondhand clothing is the best way to minimize our impact on the environment...and you can still look hot while doing so.
Jodie and Hasan were married at a relaxed nautical themed wedding at Norman Manorbier Castle in South Wales. The couple first met while playing in St John's Deaf football club. Jodie played for the women’s team and Hasan for the men’s. "It was on a football trip in 2004 to Stuttgart in Germany that we really noticed each other properly," said Jodie. "But nothing came of it till Hasan's house party after Christmas in 2007 when romance began to blossom."
Read More{un}convention London was hosted in the View Studio at JJ Wimborne, which includes a wonderful rounded white cove that provides a photo backdrop that has no sharp edges where the wall meets the floor and is away from any harsh direct light. The large original windows mostly face north, so the natural light is subtle while still providing gorgeous views of Shoreditch Park across the road. The floor to ceiling corner window is the perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony, and behind a velvet curtain is a dressing room perfect for getting ready on your big day. Once your vows are exchanged, you won’t need to move locations, as the View Studio has plenty of space to accommodate tables for a full dinner and space for dancing late into the evening.
